I am super excited about the Spring Hearth and Hand with Magnolia line at Target. It has been such a long, cold, and dreary winter, I am ready for some bright vibrant colors in my life.
Fun Kitchen Gadgets
Kitchen gadgets are my jam! I love collecting things such as cake plates, fun serving bowls and platters, and silver-plated silverware (check out my Simple Trick to Polish Tarnished Silver to find out more about my flatware collection!).
As I was perusing the aisles of Target the other day, I stumbled across the latest Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection. Well, you could say I “purposefully” stumbled upon it! The green and brown colors just made me feel like Spring was in the air, when it was actually snowing outside. Gah!
Hearth & Hand with Magnolia
I’ve been looking for a small cake stand with a glass top and there sat a beautiful green milk glass cake plate. It is around 8 inches in diameter, but there were others that were bigger. I like small cake stands because I make a lot of Paleo cakes, and most recipes are designed for a six-inch cake.
On this gorgeous table of the Hearth & Hand with Magnolia collection were several cake plate options and lots of plates and serving bowls in warm gray and brown tones. I snagged a set of small serving plates to serve cake on when I use my new cake stand. I also picked up a coordinating stoneware beige pitcher and some beautiful gray stone napkins.
My Favorite Grain-Free Cake Recipe
The next day, I had to make a dessert so I could use my new cake stand and plates. I made my favorite grain-free cake recipe from Against All Grain. The vanilla cake and vanilla Swiss meringue butter cream frosting creates a rich and decadent combination. Every mouth-watering bite will make you think this cake is anything but healthy. And it looks gorgeous on this Hearth & Hand green milk glass.
To go along with my green milk glass cake plate, I had to pick up a bouquet of flowers with bright colors. They fit beautifully in the stoneware beige pitcher. I am so ready for warm Spring weather. I would love to sit outside on my deck and enjoy a piece of cake. Hopefully that will soon be a reality.
