Sweater Weather: Now that it officially feels like fall, it makes me think of bonfires, chai lattes, warm soups, and comfy sweaters.

SWEATER: Tie Back Sweater (comes in five colors-I’m pink adobe) | TOTE: Leather Rechargeable Smart Tote from Banana Republic (comes in three colors) | UGGS: Women’s Cardy Knit Boot (I am wearing a girls’ size six cardy cableknit bootie) | NECKLACE: John Hardy
Last week, I spent the day in Chicago indulging in some retail therapy, and I came across this adorable tie back sweater at Nordstrom. With the temperatures dipping into the 30s at night, I couldn’t pass it up. It is sooooo soft, and I am such a sucker for soft cozy sweaters.
The back of the sweater has a pretty grosgrain bow that is long enough to trail down the back. The fabric has a bit of spandex, which gives it a little extra stretch. I would consider this more of a lightweight sweater, which is perfect for fall. In the middle of winter, when there is snow on the ground, I go for the more chunky warmer sweaters.
Cozy Sweaters and Ugg Boots
I love to pair my sweaters with Ugg boots—maybe it’s a “cozy” thing, because the insides are so soft. My foot is small enough I can sometimes get away with girls’ size Ugg boots, which are cheaper than women’s. I wear a six and a half shoe size in women’s, and I am wearing a size six in girls’ in this Ugg cardy cableknit bootie.
Bows and ruffles are the in-thing this fall—bow sleeves, bows in the back, ruffles down the front—so many choices, so little time. Apparently I am obsessed with bows, because I can’t seem to get enough of them. This Banana Republic Italian leather rechargeable tote has the cutest little bow on the front, and I think it looks fabulous with the bow on the tie back sweater.
