Clinique Makeover Party

A simply amazing experience at a Clinique Makeover Party!

Oh friends, I have to share with you the most incredible day! I found myself at a Clinique makeover party, simply by accident. A makeover party with endless amounts of makeup, desserts and oodles of fun! I have even included a video of all the fun we had!

Clinique Makeover Party

How I got the invite

My husband had minor surgery in St. Louis, which is about three hours from where we live–no worries, the surgery was fine. We were staying at a hotel, because he had a follow-up appointment the next day.

We had to be at the surgery center at 6 AM the day of the surgery. About an hour after our arrival at the surgery center, we found out there were some complications with scheduling. They asked if we could come back around 11 AM. So, we went back to the hotel.

As I was walking through the hall to our room, I passed by a conference room with a huge Clinique sign on a projector screen. The door was open so I peeked in, and there were tables everywhere with so…much…makeup! Be still my beating heart!

As I stood there in awe scanning the room, I noticed a couple of Clinique Consultants. With a big smile on my face I jokingly said, “Can I come to this meeting today?” To my surprise, a Clinique Trainer named Liz said, “Yes.”

Oh…my…gosh!

Ok, so what was the catch? Really, no catch. It was a training session for Clinique Consultants, and they needed ladies who were willing to have a makeover. You will never have to twist my arm for a makeover, and with Clinique products, count me in!

Liz asked if I could come back around 3:30, because that is when all of the Clinique Consultants were giving makeovers as part of their two-day training. Lucky for me, that was about the time we were supposed to return from my husband’s surgery. My luck just kept getting better.

The Makeover Party

I am here to tell you, Clinique knows how to have a makeover party. There were delicious desserts, makeup samples and lots of laughs.

Clinique Makeover Party

I had the sweetest Clinique Consultant named Gina who did my makeover. She told me about many of the new products being launched. One of the new products called Lash Elevating Mascara is one she used on my eyelashes, which isn’t even available to buy yet. I love the idea of being one of the first people to try a product.

Side note—I know…the outfit and hair (I did have on a hat)…I was at the surgery center at 6 AM that morning for my husband’s surgery. Trust me, I wasn’t going to let a lousy outfit and some bad hair keep me from a makeover!

Gina wrote down all of the Clinique products she used on me, and here is the list…

  • Even Better Glow Foundation
  • Transparency 3 Loose Powder
  • All Bout Shadow Primer—Moderately Fair
  • Just Browsing Light Brown for Eyebrows
  • All About Shadow–Teddy Bear
  • All About Shadow–Daybreak
  • Quickliner–Intense Chocolate Eyeliner
  • Defining Nudes for Cheeks
  • Nude Pop for Cheeks
  • Quickliner for Lips–Intense Café
  • Chubby Stick Mega Melon for Lips

I loved the final outcome of my makeover. After a long day at the surgery center with my husband, this makeover is exactly what I needed.

Finished Clinique Makeover

The Clinique Consultants and ladies getting makeovers were so kind and so much fun, and everyone who had a makeover received a free Clinique gift. Check out the video below to see just how much fun we all had. (Music: http://www.purple-planet.com)

I can’t even put into words how ecstatic I was to get the invite to this makeover party—as Clinique’s motto goes, it was a “Simply Amazing Experience!”

xoxo,

Molly
