A Summer Gift Idea

This Bag of Summer is such a great gift idea to show someone you are thinking of them, or to brighten their day. Not only is it a fun gift to give, but also fun to put together.

I made this Bag of Summer for my sister to show her I was thinking of her. She lives in another state, and I don’t get to see her nearly enough. Although we talk almost every day, I miss her immensely and wanted to send her a fun surprise.

My sister loves everything about summer, but her favorite pastime is lying by the pool, so I tried to put together things I know she will use. You can put almost anything in this bag. I saw so many fun ideas walking around Target; it was hard for me to narrow it down.

I was able to use the Target Cartwheel App to save money on some of the items I purchased. I know the Cartwheel App has been around for a while, but I just started using it. If you are like me and haven’t taken advantage of this app, it’s super simple to setup and definitely worth the time. You download the free app and sign up with Facebook or email. The app offers many coupons and discounts that are only available to app users. You can even scan the barcode of any items in Target to make sure you didn’t overlook a discount. This was a huge help when shopping for my bag of summer.

I also made my sister a card with a sweet note inside, and dropped it into the box before mailing it to her.  I love when people send personal handwritten notes. It seems as though with texting and emailing the personal notes are a thing of the past. For fun, I made is a summer themed card!
