Duck fat spray should be stocked in everyone’s pantry because it is a game-changer when cooking. Not only is it a more healthful option compared to butter and other cooking oils, but Cornhusker Gourmet Duck Fat Spray adds amazing flavor to whatever you are cooking.

What is Duck Fat?

Duck fat is rendered from cooking duck meat, as well as the skin and abdominal fat. This extra fat is considered, by some, as a useless part of the duck. However, it adds much more flavor than cooking with butter or other cooking fats and oils.

It is a little-known secret to chefs around the world because it adds a rich, subtle flavor when cooking. Duck fat spray compliments almost any dish and gives it a more evenly browned crust. It makes food taste like it was prepared by a five-star chef.

The French Paradox

Cooking with duck fat originated in French cuisine and is especially prominent in the southwestern region of France known as Gascony. In this region, there are fewer reported heart problems than in the rest of France and many other countries.

The heart attack death rate in the French region of Gascony is 25% of the heart attack deaths in the U.S. Many contribute this to eating duck and goose fat, instead of cooking with oils high in unhealthy trans fats. Many people refer to this low incidence of heart disease as “The French Paradox.”

The Health Benefits

Cornhusker kitchen gourmet duck fat cooking oil is an amazing product and is much more healthful than many other cooking fats. It is made in the U.S.A. and the product packaging is made of recyclable material. The list of health benefits when cooking with duck fat is endless.

  • It has natural flavorings, with no added preservatives or artificial ingredients
  • It has a super high smoke point, so your food can be seared at a high heat
  • It is high in unsaturated fat with 20% less saturated fat than butter
  • It is high in monounsaturated fat, which is good for the heart and may help lower cholesterol
  • It is high in Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA), and some studies have shown that CLA derived from meat fat has cardiovascular health benefits
  • It is gluten free
  • It is Keto, Paleo, and Whole30 compliant
  • It keeps well at room temperature and does not need refrigeration
  • Cornhusker Kitchen’s Duck Fat has a very long shelf life of 2 years

How to use Duck Fat Spray

Cornhusker Kitchen’s Gourmet Duck Fat Spray comes in a can, and can simply be sprayed on whatever you are cooking. It doesn’t take much, because a little goes a long way.

One of the many ways we love to cook with duck fat spray is by roasting French fries in the oven with the fat sprayed on and topped with the Best All Purpose Seasoning.

We also love to put it on steaks and chicken, because it adds a rich flavor with a nice even browning on the outside. Because of the naturally high smoke point, meat and vegetables can be cooked on a high heat source using duck fat spray, which creates the ultimate sear.

Using gourmet duck fat cooking oil spray is considered a secret weapon in high-end restaurants. Many award-winning recipes use duck fat to add a rich, savory flavor that is incomparable to other cooking fats.

Where to find Duck Fat Spray

There are many variations of duck fat and duck fat spray. However, the one I use and love is Cornhusker Kitchen’s Gourmet Duck Fat Spray. It can be found online and in most grocery stores.

Culinary Perfection

Natural duck fat spray is truly the only cooking oil worthy of your food and a much more flavorful way to prepare your meals. I hope you will go on a delicious adventure and use duck fat spray to create your next meal.
